Dr. Hatfield grew up in the small town of Gilbert, located in the coal fields of southern West Virginia. She is a 2006 graduate of Marshall University and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN) in 2010. Dr. Hatfield practiced in several locations and practices until 2013, when she founded her practice, Tradewinds Optometric Group, in Mooresville, North Carolina. Dr. Hatfield is active in the community and is a member of the North Carolina State Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. In her spare time Dr. Hatfield loves to read and relax with her husband, Aaron and their siberian husky, Aspen. She is an avid fan of Marshall University sports and the Carolina Panthers!
Kelsey grew up in a small town outside of Hickory, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Kelsey has worked in the eye care field since 2013 doing various jobs such as an eyewear consultant and ParaOptometric Technician. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys going to various concerts and festivals in the Charlotte area.
Gail grew up in Franklin County, Virginia, just outside of Roanoke. Gail enjoys breaking down the complexity of insurance in a way that patients understand. As the Billing Coordinator, she assists patients better understand their primary and secondary insurance plans, vision discount plans, deductibles, and benefits. Gail reviews all vision and medical claims to ensure accuracy of CPT procedure codes and diagnostic codes (ICD-10), before they are submitted to the various insurance companies. She works hand-in-hand with an external billing company ensuring claims are submitted timely and accurately. In her spare time, Gail enjoys walking, stand-up paddling, and spoiling her new grand baby! She is an avid fan of the Steelers!
